I started this site because (at least since using gentoo) once in a while things don't work out like you'd suspect them to. For example: you are updating your system and suddenly your $what-ever doesn't work anymore :/

Most situation like that are easily accomplished. Sometimes you ixquick for something you don't get along with on your own, and read what others did, having the same trouble like you. Finally you solve the problem and forget about it. But after a maybe longer or even shorter time you might get similar issues.

Since everything worked out fine until now, you forgot most stuff relating to this particular problem of the past. You gotta ixquick it again…

This was when a friend of mine told me that he writes short howtos for himself. I thought it might be a good idea to share these kind of howtos with you for you might have the same troubles and don't really read all manuals by yourself. I hope this might come in handy sometimes…
